How much would it cost to buy an original 2008 VW Passat navigation and have it installed?

I have a 2008 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T and it just has the stock radio/cd player. I was wondering how much would it cost to buy an original VW navigation and have it installed! If anyone knows please help me out!

Don't.
Built in navigation is a very bad idea.
First of all, they do not last more then a few years in the heat, cold, wet, theft, etc., of a car.
Second is that they rapidly improve, and while you can upgrade the software, the screen, memory, etc. will disappoint in a few years.
Third is that I hate the location of the ones on the dash.
I either want to put in my lap and program in the address before the trip, or have the passenger do it later. When they are on the dash, they are very hard to use.
In fact, a small notebook, netbook, or tablet computer works much better because it has a larger screen, more software, remotely connected, and you can just throw it on the passenger seat.
GPS is just a USB plug in that you can keep updating as you wish.
Fry's sells an iPad for only $ 399. The single purpose navigation system would cost 10 times as much and not do nearly as much.

As I know such a car cost a lot to insure. Check your insurance quotes for these cars before buing one - carinsurance.deep-ice.com
